Dr. Susan Paynter offers Gifted Diagnostic evaluations, which include administration of the SAGES-2 test for identifying gifted students in kindergarten through eighth grade, test results, and preliminary recommendations from an award-winning educator and nationally recognized expert on gifted learners.
The SAGES-2 helps identify gifted students in kindergarten through eighth grade. It measures aptitude and achievement. Aptitude is measured via the reasoning sub-test. The child is asked to solve analogical problems by identifying relationships among pictures and figures. The other two sub-tests assess achievement. On one of these sub-tests, the child answers questions about language arts and social studies; on the other, he/she answers questions about mathematics and science. The child selects answers from a series of pictures, symbols, or words. The sub-tests can be used to examine the relationships between aptitude and achievement. A consultation with Dr. Paynter includes test results and preliminary recommendations.
